Financial Assistance Policy
At Mangrove Medical Center, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare to all members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay. To ensure that our services are accessible to everyone, we offer financial assistance to patients who are unable to pay for their medical treatment.
Eligibility for Financial Assistance
To be eligible for financial assistance, patients must meet the following criteria:
- Be uninsured or underinsured
- Have a household income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
- Be unable to pay for their medical treatment
How to Apply for Financial Assistance
To apply for financial assistance, patients should complete a financial assistance application and provide the following documentation:
- Proof of income (pay stubs, tax returns, etc.)
- Proof of uninsured or underinsured status (copy of insurance card, letter from insurance company, etc.)
- A statement explaining why the patient is unable to pay for their medical treatment
Patients can obtain a financial assistance application by contacting our Patient Financial Services department or by downloading the application from our website. Applications should be submitted to the Patient Financial Services department along with the required documentation.
Discounts and Payment Plans
In addition to financial assistance, Mangrove Medical Center also offers discounts and payment plans to patients who are unable to pay their medical bills in full. Discounts are based on the patient's household income and are available to patients who meet the eligibility criteria for financial assistance. Payment plans can be arranged with our Patient Financial Services department on a case-by-case basis.
